Tommy Robinson, an Italian activist who was part of the Global Samoud Flotilla, embraced Islam while in Israeli custody. At Istanbul Airport, his close companions greeted him with hugs of joy, and many were moved to tears.
Turkish social activist Bakir Devili shared, “Tommy accepted Islam in prison. When we congratulated him in the car, the Israeli police immediately took him back into custody. I told him, ‘You paid the price for accepting Islam within just ten seconds, Tommy.”

Following their release from Israeli detention, 137 social activists from the Global Samoud Flotilla have arrived in Istanbul. Among them are 36 Turkish nationals, as well as activists from the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, Libya, Algeria, Mauritania, Malaysia, Bahrain, Morocco, Switzerland, and Tunisia.
However, 450 activists from the Flotilla remain in Israeli custody, including former Pakistani senator Mushtaq Ahmed and several other Pakistani citizens.
The activists who reached Istanbul recounted harrowing experiences of Israeli brutality, stating that the Israeli forces treated all participants inhumanely.
Turkish journalist Ersin Celik revealed that many volunteers from the Samoud Flotilla were subjected to severe torture while in Israeli detention.
According to Ersin, Greta Thunberg was among those mistreated—dragged on the ground, tortured, and even forced to kiss the Israeli flag. Despite being underage, she was treated with extreme cruelty.
Despite Israeli aggression and obstruction, another aid flotilla has departed for Gaza. These boats are carrying international activists from various countries, bringing food, medicine, and relief supplies for the Palestinian people.
