ISLAMABAD: In a serious criminal incident in Islamabad, unidentified armed men allegedly stormed a guest house located within the jurisdiction of Kohsar Police Station and subjected foreign nationals to robbery and assault, police and sources said.
According to initial reports, the suspects entered the guest house in Islamabad, held the foreign citizens at gunpoint, and carried out a robbery. When the victims resisted, they were reportedly tied up and brutally assaulted by the attackers.
The assailants looted mobile phones, cash, and laptops before fleeing the scene. Eyewitnesses said the suspects escaped in a black-coloured vehicle shortly after the incident in Islamabad.
Following the incident in the federal capital, the foreign nationals expressed suspicion that the guest house management may have been involved in facilitating the attackers, prompting police to widen the scope of their investigation.
Police at Kohsar Station have registered a case of robbery and violent assault and launched an investigation to trace and arrest the suspects. Authorities said efforts are underway to identify those involved and bring them to justice.
