The Islamabad administration has formally implemented an e-stamping system across the federal capital, marking a shift away from traditional manual stamp papers.
According to media reports, instructions had already been issued from 26 January 2026 directing stamp vendors and the general public not to issue judicial or non-judicial stamp papers, as the district moves towards the new digital system. A fresh notification has now been released to facilitate the transition.
A notification issued by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) stated that all stamp vendors operating in Islamabad must completely exhaust their existing stock of manual judicial and non-judicial stamp papers by 12 February 2026 (Thursday).
On 13 February (Friday), all vendors have been instructed to submit their stamp vendor registers along with rubber stamps, without any delay or negligence, to the office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) / District Collector, Islamabad.
The notification further clarified that after the specified deadline, no department, office, court or authority within the Islamabad Capital Territory will accept manual judicial or non-judicial stamp papers under any circumstances.
Authorities have warned that any violation or non-compliance with these directives will result in strict legal action under the relevant laws and regulations.
