Mehreen Jabbar’s recent thriller series Jurm is getting a lot of praise because of its amazing storyline, action, suspense, and most importantly Wahaj Ali.
However, recently, a YouTuber named Sabih Sumair pointed out that the mini-series ‘Jurm’ is a copy of the Indian documentary film (about a couple) ‘The Honeymoon Murder’ which was released in 2010 in which a young couple got married and went to South Africa for Honeymoon where the lady was kidnapped and killed.’
Most of the social media users commented on the video and said, “Yes it is a copy of Honeymoon Murder”. Another user said, “It’s a copy of Gone Girl’.
Another one posted: ‘We invest so much time in dramas and in the end, they turn out to be the copy’. Well, as usual, Pakistani drama fans didn’t like this and said: ‘If you are pointing this out, you are not a Pakistani drama lover or fan”.

Wahaj Aliis a Pakistani actor who works in Urdu television. He made his debut with Ishq Ibadat (2015). His career was propelled through leading roles in ‘Fitoor’, ‘Dil Na Umeed Toh Nahi’ both (2021). Ali received wider recognition for his portrayal of Murtasim Khan in ‘Tere Bin’ and Saad Hussein in ‘Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha’, both (2022), with his meticulous approach to acting.
