The President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, has announced three key conditions for ending the ongoing tensions with the United States and Israel.
In a statement shared on social media, President Pezeshkian said the conflict could only end if Iran’s legitimate rights are recognised, compensation is provided for war-related damages, and strong international guarantees are given to prevent any future attacks on Iran.
He added that during his conversations with the President of Russia and the Prime Minister of Pakistan, he clearly reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to maintaining peace in the region.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a strong warning, stating that if Iran’s ports are targeted, ports and economic centres across the region would be treated as legitimate targets.
The IRGC said no country would be able to remain unaffected by the crisis, adding that the enemy cannot be trusted and operations would continue until victory is achieved.
US officials have also warned that sending warships into the Strait of Hormuz under the current circumstances would be extremely dangerous, as the area is experiencing heightened tensions and the risk of attacks remains high.
