ISLAMABAD: The interior ministry has decided to remove former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL) owing to his medical treatment.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif earlier approached interior ministry for the removal of Nawaz Sharif’s name from the ECL.
The doctors at the Sharif Medical City Hospital have also recommended shifting the former premier abroad for treatment.

The ECL placed Nawaz Sharif’s name on the no-fly list on the request of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The former premier was discharged from Lahore’s hospital two days ago, 16 days after he was hospitalized in critical condition.
On the other hand, Maryam Nawaz has said that her father must go anywhere around the world where his treatment was possible.
