An inquiry committee has been formed to address concerns raised by students regarding the Karachi Intermediate Education Board’s results. Syed Sharaf Ali Shah, the newly appointed interim chairman of the board, initiated the move after taking office.
According to a report by ARY News on Saturday, in a meeting with the Secretary of the Universities and Boards Department, it was decided that the committee would review the controversial results and ensure transparency.
The committee is tasked with investigating the issue and resolving complaints within a month. Chairman Shah emphasized the importance of addressing student concerns, stating that students are the future, and every effort would be made to resolve the situation impartially.
Students and parents have been encouraged to submit their grievances and suggestions to the board. The formation of the inquiry committee follows the sacking of the previous Karachi Intermediate Board Chairman, Ameer Qadri, after the controversy over the results.
Qadri was dismissed from his position, and Sharf Ali was given the additional charge of the role. An explanation has also been sought from Qadri for a foreign trip taken without permission. His dismissal was approved by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, who also holds the concerned portfolio.
