The report states that in a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Rupali discussed the challenges she encountered while trying to establish a career in films. She revealed that the casting couch was a significant obstacle in her journey.

In the interview, Rupali explained that her decision to step away from films was intentional. She shared, “I didn’t do well in films, and that was a choice I made because the casting couch was prevalent in the industry at that time.”

Moreover, she said, “While some may not have encountered it, people like me did, and I decided not to take that route. As a result, I was considered a failure, especially because I come from a film family.”

Reflecting on her career now, she said, “I did feel small back then, but thanks to Anupamaa, I am incredibly proud. The show gave me the recognition I always dreamed of. It’s been life-changing. My husband and I both believe that whatever Rajan Ji has given me, I can never repay in this lifetime.”
