Imran’s antics lay bare his fascist, militant tendencies, alleges PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that if anyone had any doubt, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Niazi’s antics of the last past few days laid bare his fascist and militant tendencies.

His statement came after former premier Imran Khan struggled for several hours to appear in person before District and Session Judge Zafar Iqbal in Toshakhana case, but couldn’t do so after Islamabad Police started tear gas shelling at his vehicle just as he approached the main entry point of the Judicial Complex yesterday.

Islamabad Police too alleged that t least 52 personnel of police and other forces were injured, and as many as 12 vehicles of Islamabad Police and 3 vehicles of Punjab Police and FC were completely burnt.

Seeing the situation, Judge Zafar Iqbal ordered that the former premier sign his attendance sheet while sitting in his vehicle after he failed to reach the courtroom due to clashes.

Khan’s arrest warrant was later cancelled, and the indictment deferred till March 30.

Taking to Twitter, the prime minister further alleged “trom using people as human shields to throwing petrol bombs at police to leading ‘jathas’ to intimidate judiciary, he (Imran) has taken a leaf out of the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) book.”
