LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sanam Javed has filed a petition for khula (judicial dissolution of marriage) before a family court, seeking to end her marriage.
In her petition, Sanam Javed stated that a lack of mental compatibility with her husband had led to several problems in their marital life, adding that she no longer wished to continue the relationship.
According to reports, the petition was filed through her lawyer, Barrister Khadija Siddiqui.
Confirming the development in a statement on social media platform X, Barrister Khadija Siddiqui said that Sanam Javed had formally submitted her khula petition before the family court.
