LAHROE: The Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has demanded elections throughout the country, and not just in 66% of Pakistan.
Addressing parliamentary party meeting of KP Assembly via video link, Khan said his yesterday’s message about dialogues was mistaken (by the ruling coalition), and dialogues could only be held about holding general elections, and not just in the 66% of the country. He said “we are ready for dialogues only if the government wanted to give final date for holding general elections.”
He said “we have decided to dissolve KP and Punjab assemblies to pave way for general elections,” adding that there would be no other option left but to hold general elections if 66% of seats across Pakistan became vacant. He said the assemblies would be dissolved during the current month.
“PTI was bound to win whenever elections took place, he said, adding that the delay in holding general elections would also benefit PTI.
Imran Khan said the ruling coalition was unable to manage country’s economy and even Miftah and Ishaq Dar were fighting each other. He alleged that Ishaq Dar had sent millions to his children abroad.
He claimed that the present rulers came to power for the sole purpose of quashing their cases, and were now preparing to flee from the country.
The PTI Chairman alleged that since the assets and wealth of Nawaz Sharif and Zardari was stashed abroad, their interests was not linked with that of Pakistan’s interest, adding that when they (ruling coalition) would see Pakistan in trouble, they would leave the country.
