ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman and former Premier Imran Khan has said he is being labeled a terrorist for talking about ‘Injustice and cruelty’ in the country, asking the people if they think he is a terrorist. He was talking to media on Thursday outside ATC Court in Islamabad.
The PTI chairman said the country has become a laughingstock in the world due to the actions of the PDM coalition government by registering ridiculous terrorism charges against him.
He went on to say that the entire world has been making fun of Pakistan, referring to the headlines flashed in the international media.
“Am I a terrorist?” the former premier asked the nation “This is like a banana republic, where anyone can do anything without being questioned or held responsible for their actions,” Imran added. “I am the head of the country’s largest party, and they filed a terrorism case against me.”
He repeated Shahbaz Gill’s torture allegation including sexual abuse saying it was confirmed in court.
“I said I will take legal action against the female judge, Islamabad IG and DIGs including the magistrate,” he said, adding that “a terrorism case was filed against me on this basis.”
The PTI chief urged the people who are taking decisions for the country to think about the people. “They are scared of PTI’s power, which is spreading and is evident in the by-elections winning streak.”
He alleged that the people in power want to technically knock him out to save their future generations.
Earlier, an anti-terrorism court granted the protective bail to former prime minister and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan in a terrorism case lodged against him by the PLMN led coalition government.
During the hearing, Imran’s lawyer Babar Awan contended before the court that the PTI chief had stated that he will lodge cases against the Islamabad police IG and his deputies.
“Imran Khan did not say that he will kill someone,” Awan added.
Last week, Imran was booked under Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (punishment for acts of terrorism) regarding his comments during his Islamabad rally.
