A new history has been made at the off-road motorsports fair 2023 in Hub city of Balochistan as the young driver Taimur Khawaja completed the 30-km long track in 22 minutes and 29 seconds to grab the title in the A Pre-paired category.
Sahibzada Sultan and Nadir Magsi also participated in this competition but they failed to defeat Taimur Khawaja, the first position was grabbed by Taimur Khawaja while Sahibzada Sultan stood second and Shiraz Qureshi of Karachi got the third position.
On the other hand, in the female category, young driver Dina Patel won the first position by covering the distance in 27 minutes and 33 seconds, while Afrin Shiraz took the second position in her debut race.
The event was attended by a large number of spectators from different parts of the country while around 80 drivers and 60 motorcyclists participated in the race on the 30 km track at Gadani Cross.
Governor Sindh Kamran Tesori was the chief guest of the closing ceremony who distributed prizes among the winners.
Speaking to MM News on the occasion, Taimur Khawaja, the winner of the pre-paired category, said that the Hub track is quite difficult, it has many twists and turns which makes it difficult to maintain the speed of the vehicle.
Taimur Khawaja said that there was no special strategy for the race, he just tried to maintain the speed of the car, in which the vehicle also supported him and the navigation was also good and that’s how he won the title.
Giving a message to the youth, Taimur Khawaja said that he thinks the youth should participate in this race because they will get to learn a lot from here.
Dina Patel, the winner of the women’s category, also described the experience as a great one and said that she learned a lot from the race.
Former Chief Minister of Balochistan Sardar Jam Kamal also participated in this competition, while talking to MM News, he said that he had driven on the Cholistan track before, which had a track of 500 km, but this track was 30 km. Quite challenging, it has a lot of twists and turns and it constantly keeps the drivers engaged.
