Chairperson of the Punjab Women Protection Authority, Hina Pervaiz Butt, visited a rape victim in Sargodha and ensured that she would receive justice under the leadership of Maryam Nawaz, the Chief Minister of Punjab.
According to details, Hina Pervaiz Butt met the girl who was raped in Sargodha. Speaking to the media on the occasion, she said, “The Government of Punjab will provide justice to the girl. We have taken immediate legal action on the instructions of CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif.”
Hina Pervaiz Butt stated, “The police have arrested the main suspect, while the investigation is ongoing to locate his other alleged accomplices. Her DNA samples have been sent to a forensic lab for a medical report. Reports of rape and violence have increased in Punjab.”
Earlier, in November 2024, Hina Pervaiz Butt had taken notice of a shocking incident in Gujarat, where a woman was set on fire. The police confirmed that five suspects involved in the case had been arrested, while the victim was undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Hina Pervaiz Butt visited the injured woman at Lahore’s Jinnah Hospital and assured her of justice. It is worth noting that the victim’s father had contacted the Women Protection Authority after failing to get the suspects arrested.
