Karachi Kings fast bowler Hasan Ali has claimed a major achievement in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), as reported by national media.
On Friday, in PSL 10, Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators faced off. In the match played in Karachi, the host team batted first and scored 175 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.
In reply, while chasing the target of 176, Quetta Gladiators could only manage 119 runs for 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs; thus, Karachi won the match by 56 runs.
From the Kings, fast bowler Hasan Ali delivered an excellent performance by taking 3 wickets. In the same match against Quetta, Hasan Ali broke Wahab Riaz’s major record and became the highest wicket-taker in PSL history.
Hasan Ali achieved this milestone by dismissing Hasan Nawaz for just one run during the match against Quetta Gladiators. The right-arm fast bowler Hasan Ali has now taken the most wickets in PSL history with 116 wickets in 84 innings.
Previously, the record for most wickets in PSL was held by Wahab Riaz, who took 113 wickets in 87 innings. The 30-year-old Hasan Ali is in outstanding form in PSL 10 and has taken 8 wickets in 3 matches so far.
It is worth noting that in PSL 10, Karachi Kings have won 2 out of 3 matches and lost 1. Karachi Kings are currently in third place on the points table with 4 points.
