KARACHI: According to the unconfirmed reports, news regarding death of notorious chairman of the banned People’s Aman Committee (PAC) Uzair Baloch’s death has been circulating on the various platforms of the social media platforms, however no authentic sources of the news is available yet.
According to rumors, Baloch was being treated at the detention facility after his health deteriorated on Thursday, but the news of his death has not been confirmed yet from any official sources.

Baloch had been arrested by the Rangers on January 30, 2016. In April 2017, his custody was handed over to the Pakistan Army after he was accused of espionage. The Army handed him over to the police on April 6, 2020, after three years.
The PAC chief, who is nominated in around 60 criminal cases pending trial before different sessions and anti-terrorism courts, has so far been acquitted in almost nine cases ever since the army transferred his custody after he was convicted of ‘espionage’ by a military court.
