ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to PM on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the government would step up a new policy for industries.
In a series of tweets, Firdous Ashiq Awan posted about how exports would increase by strengthening the agriculture sector in accordance with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The special assistant said that the agriculture sector was included in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects as the country would increase its cotton production through modern technology with the assistance of Beijing.
Awan also announced the federal government would unveil its policy for the establishment of new industries.
She added that in this regard, steps for the restoration of closed industries would be taken on an emergency basis.
She further added that the restoration of industries would end the financial crisis of laborers.
According to her, Imran Khan has ordered action against the elements selling and manufacturing sub-standard agriculture medicines and seeds.
“Cotton crops possess importance for the promotion of the textile industry”, Awan added.
