KARACHI: Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has claimed that the government wants to create differences in the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leadership.
Talking to media on the occasion of his appearance in the accountability court in the illegal appointments in the Pakistan State Oil (PSO), the PML-N leader said that baseless allegations have been leveled against him and the government wants the PDM to be divided.
Abbasi said that he is unable to understand the nature of allegations against him even after two years of case proceedings. He further said that even after two and a half years, there is a power crisis in the country.

An accountability court of Karachi conducted a hearing against Abbasi. During the proceedings, he appeared before the court; however, no witness was produced by the anti-corruption watchdog. However, due to the unavailability of witnesses, the court adjourned the hearing till 14th January while instructing NAB to produce all accused and witnesses before the court over the next hearing.
