The federal government has decided to relocate the headquarters of the Civil Aviation Authority and Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) to Islamabad.
According to reports, applications have been invited from companies to construct an aviation complex in Islamabad.
The PAA has issued a tender, and once the building is completed, the headquarters of both authorities will be shifted there.
The PAA Planning and Development Department has invited applications from companies for the tender process until March 27.
Currently, both the Pakistan Airports Authority and Civil Aviation Authority headquarters are located in Karachi. The relocation from Karachi to Islamabad is expected to take approximately three years.
It should be noted that the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) is a recently established government entity responsible for the administration, operation, and development of civilian airports and air navigation services across Pakistan.
