ISLAMABAD: Federal Energy Minister Energy Omar Ayub has said that the government was fully committed to execution of Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) pipeline project.
The statement came between the meeting of Omar Ayub with Turkish Ambassador Movlamov Atajan and CEO of TAPI Pipeline Company in Islamabad today (Tuesday).
The CEO briefed both Pakistani personalities on the progress made on TAPI pipeline project and its benefits to the region including Pakistan.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Petroleum Nadeem Babar was also present in the meeting.
While appreciating the progress made on TAPI pipeline, Omar Ayub further said that TAPI offers social infrastructure programs, diversification of energy imports, and employment for all participating countries
On the occasion, PM’s Special Assistant Nadeem Babar said that the outstanding issues for the early execution of the project should be resolved.
