Punjab CM Mohsin Naqvi and Governor Balighur Rehman Wednesday opened the Governor House for public visits.
Punjab CM said the public will be able to visit the Governor’s House for the first time like America’s White House.
People will be able to book their visit through the joint app of the Walled City Authority and Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab.
Punjab Governor Baligur Rehman said the public’s access is being ensured and everyone will be warmly welcomed.
Mohsin Naqvi and Balighur Rehman, along with the cabinet members started the safari tour from the Anarkali gate. A tour guide informed them in detail. The visitors were told about the history of artifacts.
They were also shown seven rare and precious paintings by the renowned painter Abdur Rehman Chugtai along with the precious miniature artwork in the ivory room. The cabinet was told about Governor Rivaz’s 100-year-old piano in the ballroom.
They were also given a tour of the library and shown a gifted canon exhibited in the rear part of the building.
Provincial Ministers SM Tanveer, Dr Jamal Nasir, Aamir Mir, Azfar Nasir, Bilal Afzal, Provincial Advisor Kanwar Dilshad, Wahab Riaz, Secretaries of Tourism, Information and other officials were present.
