Google allows users to remove watermarks from Gemini-generated images

Google is giving users more control over AI-generated content by introducing an option to remove visible watermarks from images and videos created with its Gemini-powered tools.

Users have been annoyed with Google’s Nano Banana image generator, albeit an excellent artificial intelligence (AI) model for creating images, for its prominent watermark in the bottom-right corner.

Images generated by ChatGPT’s new model do not have this watermark. Now, Google is giving users the option to remove the watermark.

A new setting is being added to Gemini and Flow, and it will also be available in the AI Mode of Google Search.

Through this setting, users will be able to remove the watermark from Nano Banana-generated images.

In fact, it will not be limited to images: users will also be able to remove watermarks from videos generated with Gemini’s Veo model.

However, this setting will not be available to users in countries where laws require the presence of visible watermarks.

According to the company, the visible watermark will be removed, but invisible watermarks embedded within the image or video will remain.
