Global coronavirus death toll crosses 1,072,700

WASHINGTON: The coronavirus virus has killed 1,072,712 people worldwide and affected 37,113,410.

The number of recovered people from the coronavirus has reached 27,900,351 million and there are 8,140,347 active cases. The United States ranks first among countries infected with the coronavirus, with 218,648 people dying and 7,894,478 people being diagnosed with the coronavirus.

India ranks second in the world in terms of coronavirus cases, with 6,977,008 people diagnosed with the coronavirus and 1,07,450 deaths. Brazil is the third most affected country by a coronavirus, with 5,057,190 people affected and 149,692 deaths.

More than 1.272 million people have been infected with the coronavirus in Russia, bringing the total number of deaths to 22,257. Colombia is the fifth most affected country by the coronavirus, with 27,495 deaths and more than 894,000 reported cases.

More than 890,000 people have been affected in Spain and 32,929 have died. In Argentina, 871,468 people have been affected while 23,225 people have lost their lives. In Peru, 843,355 people were affected and 33,158 people died.
