Farmers who have been declared successful and eligible under the Green Tractor Scheme have been advised to remain alert after reports of fraudulent calls targeting beneficiaries.
Authorities have warned that certain individuals are attempting to obtain sensitive information such as OTPs, security codes, and personal details by posing as government representatives.
Officials have clearly stated that the department never asks for OTPs, passwords, or banking information over the phone under any circumstances. Farmers have been urged not to share such details with anyone claiming to be an official representative.
The advisory emphasizes that personal information including CNIC numbers, bank account details, and passwords should not be disclosed to unknown callers or through suspicious messages.
In case of receiving any doubtful call or message, beneficiaries are encouraged to directly contact the relevant department to verify its authenticity.
The warning aims to protect farmers from financial fraud and ensure that beneficiaries of the Green Tractor Scheme remain safe from scams and identity theft.
