ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has held a video conference with Danish counterpart Jeppe Kofod and conveyed concern on temporary suspension of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights into Denmark.
The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has decided to ban all flights into Europe and onwards towards United Kingdom after it emerged that 262 pilots of the national flag carrier have fake or dubious licences.
The foreign minister underlined that all necessary steps are being taken by Pakistan to ensure the highest level of flight safety in PIA operations.
During the conversation, Qureshi stressed on the need to review the decision. He hope that Pakistani nationals would not be subjected to any restrictions or discrimination when travel restrictions were relaxed by Denmark.
