KARACHI: Flour prices in Pakistan have risen further, according to official data, with Karachi emerging as the most expensive city for wheat flour purchases.
The data shows that the maximum price of a 20-kilogram flour bag has reached up to Rs 2,800 in different markets.
In Karachi, citizens are paying the highest price in the country, with a 20kg flour bag also reaching up to Rs 2,800.

City-Wise Flour Prices Across Pakistan
According to the official document, the price of a 20kg flour bag has reached:
- Peshawar: up to Rs 2,750
- Islamabad: up to Rs 2,733
- Rawalpindi: up to Rs 2,707
- Quetta and Bannu: up to Rs 2,700
- Hyderabad: up to Rs 2,600
- Khuzdar and Larkana: up to Rs 2,400
- Faisalabad: up to Rs 2,350
- Gujranwala: up to Rs 2,333
- Multan: up to Rs 2,267
- Lahore: Rs 2,250
The continuous increase in flour prices has raised concerns for consumers, particularly in urban centers where essential food costs continue to climb, putting additional pressure on household budgets.
