KARACHI:Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, 47 flights from Pakistan to Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait have been canceled today. However, 213 flights from multiple airports across the country are still anticipated to operate to various destinations in the region.
According to details gathered by MM News from multiple media sources, 8 flights grom Karachi Airport to the Middle East have been canceled, while 53 flights remain operational.
In Lahore, 16 flights have also been canceled, with 57 currently being operated. Meanwhile, Islamabad Airport has seen 11 canceled flights, but 64 flights are still running.
Flights from Multan suffered cancellations as well, with 5 flights grounded and only 4 additional flights scheduled. Similarly, 2 flights from Faisalabad were canceled, while 4 flights are anticipated.
At Peshawar Airport, 3 flights to Doha and Sharjah have been canceled, although 10 flights are expected. Additionally, 2 flights from Quetta to Dubai have been canceled, yet 2 flights to Sharjah remain operational.
Other than the Middle East war, weather too has contributed to disruptions, with heavy fog reported in Peshawar and heavy rain affecting flights in Lahore. As a result, 2 foreign flights from Peshawar were grounded at Islamabad Airport.
Notably, a foreign flight from Sharjah to Peshawar landed in Islamabad, and a Qaumi Airline flight from Al Ain to Peshawar has also arrived at Islamabad. Furthermore, flights from Lahore to Dammam, Dubai, Kuwait, and Riyadh have been delayed, further complicating travel plans for passengers.
