PESHAWAR: Unknown suspects opened fire in South Waziristan, as a result of which 5 laborers were killed and 1 injured.
According to the details, this unfortunate incident of firing took place in an under-construction police station in the Jazaghonde area of South Waziristan. As a result of last night’s firing, the dead and injured were shifted to the hospital.
The injured are being given medical aid at District Hospital Wana. DPO South Waziristan Farmanullah said that an investigation into the incident is ongoing. Whether the shooting incident is related to terrorism or a manifestation of personal enmity is currently unclear.
It should be noted that earlier, 6 laborers lost their lives while 2 were injured due to firing by armed men in the Satellite Town area of Turbat. The dead and injured were shifted to the hospital.
In October, the workers of the construction company were sleeping in the rented quarters when two motorcycle-borne persons came and fled after firing, killing 6 workers on the spot.
According to the police, the persons killed in the Turbat firing incident were identified as Rizwan, Shahbaz, Waseem, Shafiq Ahmed, Muhammad Naeem, and Sikandar while the injured persons were Ghulam Mustafa and Tawheed.
