KARACHI: A fire broke out at a warehouse of a garment factory in Karachi’s Shershah area today (Tuesday).
According to the details, two people sustained burn injuries in the blaze. The district police told the media that all employees were taken out safely from the first floor of the garment factory.
The rescue officials have declared the fire as ‘third-degree level’. Nine vehicles of the fire brigade were busy dousing the blaze in the warehouse.
The firefighting officials called 15 more water tankers from the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) and fire tenders of the Karachi Port Trust (KPT).
The district police have also cordoned off the area. No casualties were reported so far, rescue officials informed. According to police, the cause of the fire is unknown. The huge clouds of smoke were visible from the far-flung areas of the city.
