QUETTA: A Frontier Corps personnel was martyred and two others were injured on Saturday in a terrorist attack on their vehicle near Loralai, Balochistan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), unknown miscreants attacked the vehicle near Loralai in which Naik Shareef got martyred, while Major Qasim and another FC soldier were injured in the attack.
Three terrorists were also killed in the retaliatory fire, said the military’s press wing. It added that the injured were shifted to CMH Quetta.
A day earlier, a Pakistan army soldier was martyred during an operation against terrorists in South Waziristan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), one terrorist was killed and another was arrested in an injured condition during the operation.
It added that security forces witnessed an unusual movement near the Pakistan Army picket after which a quick response force was sent to deal with the terrorists.
During the intense fire, a terrorist was killed and a Pakistani soldier embraced martyrdom. He was identified as Naik Ziauddin, hailing from Mardan. The forces also arrested another terrorist in injured condition, who revealed their plan to attack the Pakistan Army check post, said ISPR.
