FBR misses tax collection target for November 2025

Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) failed to achieve its tax collection target for the month of November.

According to FBR sources, tax collection in November amounted to Rs878 billion against the target of Rs1,034 billion, resulting in a shortfall of Rs156 billion.

Sources added that the shortfall may decrease by approximately Rs5 billion within a day. The tax collection target for December has been set at Rs1,406 billion.

According to sources, tax collection during the first five months of the current fiscal year stood at Rs4,715 billion against the target of Rs5,083 billion, leaving a cumulative shortfall of Rs413 billion.

Sources further stated that FBR offices will remain open today to help meet the tax collection target.
