Fatima Sana’s fastest fifty powered the Pakistan women’s cricket team to complete a clean sweep of the three-match T20 series after defeating the Zimbabwe women by 133 runs in the third and final match in Karachi.
Opting to bat first, Pakistan women posted 223 runs with the help of Pakistan women’s team captain Fatima Sana, who smashed the fastest half-century in women’s T20 internationals, scoring 50 runs off just 15 balls.
Fatima Sana struck 10 fours and two sixes in her explosive innings, breaking the previous record held by New Zealand’s Sophie Devine, who had reached the milestone in 18 balls.
Fatima Sana remained unbeaten on 62.
Saira Javed scored a fluent 50 off 32 balls, while Ayesha Zafar contributed 45 runs and Muneeba Ali added 22 runs to the total.
In the final T20 match, Pakistan women posted a commanding total, setting Zimbabwe a target of 224 runs.
In reply, Zimbabwe were bowled out for 90 runs in the 18th over, as Pakistan dominated the match in all departments to seal the series 3-0.
