Pakistan’s preparations for the upcoming ODI series against Australia have suffered a setback as opener Fakhar Zaman and young batter Saim Ayub will not be available for selection due to injuries.

The Pakistan vs Australia ODI series is set to begin on May 30, but both players are currently undergoing recovery and rehabilitation following their respective fitness issues. According to sources, the duo is being closely monitored by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) medical team.

Both cricketers are working through structured rehab programs under medical supervision, while the PCB has extended its best wishes for their swift recovery.

Officials said an updated announcement regarding the final squad and players’ fitness status will be issued soon. The absence of Fakhar and Saim is seen as a major blow to Pakistan’s top-order options ahead of the important series.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday announced that tickets for the upcoming One Day International (ODI) series between Pakistan and Australia will go on sale from May 22. The first ODI is scheduled to be played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on May 30, while the remaining two matches will be held at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on June 2 and June 4. According to the PCB, ticket prices for general enclosures have been fixed at Rs200, while first-class tickets will cost Rs300.
