As excitement builds for the cinematic debut of the Mirzapur franchise, social media and YouTube have been flooded with videos titled “Mirzapur: The Film | Official Trailer.” However, fans should exercise caution because these are fake.
Almost all videos currently circulating on YouTube with “Official Trailer” in the title are fan-made, “conceptual,” or AI-generated.
These creators often repurpose footage from Seasons 1, 2, and 3, or use clips from the actors’ other films to create a convincing but unofficial narrative.
While the trailers are fake, the movie itself is very real. Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment officially announced the theatrical adaptation in late 2024. As of early February 2026, principal photography has officially concluded.
The only official footage released so far is an announcement teaser from late 2024.
In that video, Pankaj Tripathi (Kaleen Bhaiya), Ali Fazal (Guddu Pandit), and Divyenndu (Munna Bhaiya) address the audience directly to announce the move to the big screen. It does not contain any scenes from the upcoming movie.
The film is officially scheduled to hit cinemas worldwide on September 4, 2026.
If you see Guddu Pandit with his Season 1 look or Munna Bhaiya in scenes you’ve already watched on OTT, it is a fan edit.
Many of these videos hide the word “concept” or “fan-made” deep in the description box to farm views while avoiding copyright strikes.
