Elon Musk’s brother and friends “hated” actor Amber Heard during the time the pair were together, according a new memoir about the SpaceX founder.
In his biography, Elon Musk by Walter Isaacson, Elon Musk reveals what it was like to date Amber Heard during her trial with Johnny Depp. Needless to say, it was brutal.
In his biography, Musk describes his mental state as going “through periods when he oscillated between depression, stupor, giddiness, and manic energy.” In one moment, he’d be wildly in love with Heard. In another, he’d challenge Captain Jack Sparrow to a cage fight.
In an excerpt from the book published in The Times, Isaacson says that Musk’s “brother and friends hated [Heard] with a passion that made their distaste for Justine [Musk’s first wife] pale”.
In the book, Kimbal Musk, the tech mogul’s brother, tells Isaacson that Heard was a “nightmare”.
Kimbal remarked, “It’s so unfortunate that he falls in love with these individuals who are so cruel to him. They are absolutely stunning, but they also have a very dark side, and Elon is aware that they are toxic.
In the book, the author Isaacson states: “Musk was not reared for household tranquility. His romantic connections frequently include psychological strife.
Isaacson claims that Musk became interested in the Aquaman actor after seeing her in the 2013 film Machete Kills. The biography’s “Rocky Relationships” chapter contains an account of how their turbulent relationship began.
Heard, who at the time was dating Johnny Depp, reportedly declined Musk’s invitation to dinner. A few years later, they reconnected, though it’s unclear when their friendship turned amorous.
