Actor Steve Buscemi suffered injuries in an unexpected assault by a passerby in New York City, as confirmed by his publicist. The esteemed actor was strolling through the city last week when an individual punched him in broad daylight on a Manhattan street.
The incident took place shortly before noon on Wednesday, according to the police department’s public information office.
Upon arrival, authorities found Buscemi, aged 66, with bruising, swelling, and bleeding around his left eye. He was in stable condition when emergency services transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment.
