LAHORE: Authorities at Lahore Airport are reported to have apprehended the primary suspect wanted for fatal shooting of two brothers in Swabi, as he attempted to flee the country.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) confirmed that Usman, the accused, had allegedly murdered two brothers in Swabi before attempting to escape abroad.
Acting on critical intelligence shared by local police, the FIA promptly placed Usman’s name on the Passport Control List (PINL), a preventive measure that flagged his movement at immigration checkpoints.
Despite successfully clearing the immigration counter, the accused was intercepted and detained due to the timely strategic response of FIA personnel, who acted on verified intelligence.
The FIA has formally notified the Swabi Police of the arrest, ensuring that legal proceedings can commence without delay. Authorities have yet to disclose further details regarding the motive or the ongoing investigation.
