Divorce in Pakistan’s Showbiz

Pakistan is a country where marriage is deemed sacred, owing to the teachings of Islam. Islam teaches us to not opt the way of divorce and work to rebuild the relation between husband and wife. Divorce is not just the end of a relationship, but also the end of a family. As far as the consequences are concerned, the children suffer the most. However, divorce is considered a handicapped act, but in Pakistan’s showbiz industry, divorce has expanded.
From renowned stars of Pakistan’s showbiz industry to models and cricketers, many of them have faced divorce. The performing artists whose dramas and film dialogues captivate the hearts of the fans, their real lives are very different from the thoughts of the people.
Recently a case is surfacing on media as the Pakistani singer Sanam Marvi had filed a petition for divorce (Khula) in which she alleged her husband of torturing her for 12 years.
There are numerous couples that have been successful in their respective fields but couldn’t spare their relational unions.
So, below is a rundown of the divorces of Pakistani celebrities that shocked us:
Mahira Khan
Mahira Khan married Ali Askari back on July 13, 2007. At that time Ali Askari was head of MTV. The two enjoyed marital bliss for eight years and have a son Azlan together. Mahira Khan got separated from her husband in 2015.
Shamoon Abbasi
Actor and Director Shamoon Abbasi’s first marriage was with Javeria and have a daughter together but then they got separated. After a divorce, Abbasi married the famous model Humaima Malick but the marriage ended with a divorce.

Imran Khan
The current Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan had also in divorce situation for two times. First time Imran Khan got separated from Jemima Goldsmith after nine years of marriage. After the divorce, Imran Khan in 2015 married BBC presenter Reham Khan but couldn’t last a year.

Mikaal Zulfiqar
Mikaal is the best Pakistani on-screen character administering the Pakistani business for a long time. His style, identity, and acting make him a genius. He got separated from Sara Bhatti in 2017. They have two adorable little infant young ladies.

Aisam-ul-Haq
The renowned tennis player Aisam-ul-Haq got married to Faha Makhdoom in 2011 but couldn’t live together for a long time. At first when the news of their conceivable separation was distributed in media, the group of Aisam-ul-Haq denied the news. Aisam-ul-Haq did not give a purpose behind the separation.

Sanam Baloch
Sanam Baloch married with Abdullah Farhatullah in the year 2013. Since the start of the year 2018, Sanam and Abdullah were not being seen together. Sanma Baloch confirmed the news on a TV show that she and Abdullah have parted ways and are not together anymore.

Mathira
The actress is a celebrity who has always been a part of controversies. She got married to then-husband Farran, a Dubai based singer in an intimate ceremony in 2012. The couple has a son together but parted ways this year due to some unavoidable circumstances.

 

Veena Malik
Veena Malik got married to Asad Khattak in 2013. The couple had a fairytale wedding and they no doubt looked great together. They have two children together, a boy and a girl. First time in 2017, Veena and Asad got separated due to some issues but got back together. However, it did not work out and the couple got divorced in 2018.

Relationships break and people get separated. No doubt this makes a person get into a lot of heartbreak and sorrow. We wish that each one of these people find their happiness back and be more peaceful and successful in their respective lives.
