QUETTA: Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a detailed report on the loss of life and property due to rain in various cities of Balochistan including Gwadar.
According to the details, PDMA says that as a result of heavy rain in Gwadar, 50 houses were completely destroyed while 90 houses were partially damaged. The four walls of 15 houses and 2 roads were also affected.
In its report, PDMA says that as a result of heavy rain in Kharan, 2 houses were completely destroyed, 5 houses were partially damaged, 3 children died and 1 person was injured. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority says that the heavy rains in Ketch completely destroyed 5 houses while 20 partially damaged. 2 roads and 1 bridge were also affected due to flooding.
According to the report, there was also loss of life and property due to rain in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, where 2 houses were completely destroyed. After the report of loss of life and property came out, the provincial administration took action.
It should be noted that earlier, regarding the damage caused by the rain, the leader of “Haq Du Gwadar Ko” movement said in a statement that the rain water in Gwadar has entered the houses up to 5 to 6, 6 feet, there is no relief.
