Deceased prisoner allegedly included in COVID-19 cases

ISLAMABAD: As the number of coronavirus cases continues to rise in Pakistan, it has been revealed that several hospitals across Pakistan are allegedly adding patients suffering from different ailments to a list of COVID-19 cases.
According to details, a prisoner, named Sanaullah, at Adiala Jail suffered a heart attack on late Friday night. The patient was rushed to PIMS hospital in Islamabad, however, he died before reaching the hospital.
Sources have said that the dead body was shifted to PIMS Hospital, where the administration of the hospital refused to hand over the body to the relatives and allegedly added the prisoner to COVID-19 patients.
On the other hand, the relatives of the prisoner claimed that SHO Sabzi Mandi Islamabad had imprisoned deceased Sanaullah in a fake case.
In this regard, the relatives of the deceased prisoner have staged a protest against the hospital administration and the SHO Sabzi Mandi.
The relatives have demanded that justice should be provided to the deceased person. They have also appealed to IG Police Islamabad to take action against the accused persons.
