KARACHI: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has warned that a cyclone named Biparjoy is maintaining its intensity towards the country as it lies just 770 km from the Sindh capital.
According to the details, the speed of the cyclone could not slow down. The PMD said that Biparjoy has entered the North Indian Ocean at a distance of 770 km from Karachi and will likely hit the coasts of Sindh and Makran by Wednesday or Thursday.
If the storm hits coastal areas, there may be thundershowers in the coastal areas of the country. The Meteorological Department said that due to the storm, the wind speed can reach up to one and a half kilometers per hour, which can collapse weak structures.

Meteorologists said that the government has issued instructions to fishermen not to go into the open sea. Section 144 is in force on the coast, citizens are being prevented from going into the sea while the Meteorological Department has assigned the cyclone warning center to monitor the storm.
Recently, the Meteorological Department issued an advisory regarding the cyclone, which stated that it is not clear where the cyclone will move, but it is likely to hit Indian Gujarat and Sindh besides Makran and Oman.
