KARACHI: Sindh Rangers and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted a joint operation and killed two terrorists in Karachi.
According to details, the law enforcement agencies conducted a joint operation Baldia Town after receiving information about the presence of the militants in the area.
The suspects opened fire at the security personnel and were killed in retaliation. They were identified as Adnan and Rafiq and belonged to an outlawed organisation.
CTD in-charge Mazhar Mashwani told media a raid was carried out after an intelligence-based report was received about the militants. The suspected terrorists were killed when they traded fire with security officials.
Adnan allegedly belonged to the Bilal Mansoora group which had fought with Rangers for several hours in Urdu Bazaar a few years ago. CTD said that during that encounter, three wanted terrorists were killed along with the wife and child of one of the militants.
On July 30, CTD of the Sindh Police arrested two alleged target killers belonging from MQM-London. Announcing the arrests, in-charge CTD Ali Raza had said that the arrested individuals were identified as Faisal Ali Khan and Nizamuddin and were of the party’s Pak Colony sector.
They suspects were allegedly planning to form new teams of target killing in the city when they were arrested during raids in district West of the city.
