SIBI: President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would bring a new era of progress and development in Balochistan.
While addressing the inauguration ceremony of Sibi Mela today, Dr. Arif Alvi said that Balochistan was blessed with plenty of natural resources.
He further said that the province was not only blessed with natural resources but huge benefits could also be increased by developing its livestock sectors and fisheries.
Earlier on Tuesday, while addressing a banquet hosted in United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’s honour, Alvi said that Pakistan was among the countries most vulnerable to climate change.
He said Pakistan was a peace-loving nation, which has rendered remarkable sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
In his address, Arif Alvi said that despite being a poor country Pakistan hosted the largest number of refugees in recent history.
