Countering CPEC bottlenecks: PM to visit China next week

PM to arrive in Lahore on one-day official visit today
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will leave for an official visit to China next week to further strengthen the relations between the two countries.
The prime minister will hold meetings with the Chinese leaders, including Chinese President Xi Jinping and other senior Chinese officials. During his visit, memorandums of understanding will be signed over different development projects.

A meeting was held to review the progress of the CPEC projects in Islamabad, where the prime minister said that he would soon visit China and meets its leadership to strengthen the friendship between the two countries.
The prime minister said, “Removal of all bottlenecks in CPEC projects and their timely completion is the top priority of the government.”
It has been learnt that most of the CPEC-related projects have stalled due to certain reasons, including prevailing financial crunch confronting the government and non-cooperation of the bureaucracy due to fear of the National Accountability Bureau.
