ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reported three deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of confirmed positive cases has surged to 1,553,930. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 30,486 on Saturday.
According to the latest figures by the National Institute of Health (NIH), at least 605 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 across the country in the past 24 hours.
Pakistan has conducted 19,236 tests in the past 24 hours out of which 605 persons were tested positive for the disease. The COVID Positivity Ratio was recorded at 3.15 percent.
During the last 24 hours, 605 patients have defeated coronavirus across the country, by which the number of recovered people has reached 15,14,535, while the number of active cases has increased to 8,912. Punjab and Sindh were the most affected by the virus.
In Sindh, 5,90,634 people were affected by coronavirus while 8,178 died. In Punjab, 5,2,832 people were affected while 13,587 lost their lives. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was the third largest province affected by the virus.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2,21,260 people were affected by coronavirus while 6,329 died. In Islamabad, 1,37,331 people were affected by coronavirus while 1,027 died. 43,613 corona cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
793 people died due to the virus in Azad Kashmir. In Balochistan, 35,785 people have been affected by coronavirus while 378 have lost their lives. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 11 thousand 870 people have been affected by coronavirus while 191 have died.
