WASHINGTON: The coronavirus has killed 1,002,401 people worldwide and infected 33,307,363.
Around the world, 2,46,34,198 people were infected with coronavirus and the number of active cases is 7,666,145. The first death from coronavirus was reported on 11th January in China. On 9th April, the total death toll from coronavirus rose to 100,000 for the first time.
The United States ranks first among countries infected with the coronavirus, with 29,453 deaths and more than 7,321,000 people diagnosed with the coronavirus.
India ranks second in the world in terms of coronavirus cases where the total number of corona cases has exceeded 6,073,000. The total number of deaths from corona in India has reached 95,574.

Brazil is the third most affected country in the world, with 4.732 million people affected and 141,776 deaths. Russia ranks fourth among countries infected with the coronavirus, with more than 1,151,000 people infected with the virus and a total death toll of 20,324.
Colombia ranks fifth among countries infected with the coronavirus, with 25,448 deaths and more than 813,000 reported cases.
In Peru, more than 800,000 people have been affected, while 32,262 people have lost their lives. More than 730,000 people have been affected in Mexico and 76,430 have died.
