Coronavirus death toll hits 896,800 worldwide

WASHINGTON: More than 27.48 million cases have been reported worldwide and 896,865 deaths have been reported due to the coronavirus.

The number of coronavirus infection cases across the world has surged to 27,489,198 and the pandemic has so far claimed over 896,867 lives. So far, 19,590,272 patients have been cured worldwide and the number of active cases is now more than 7,002,059.

The number of people infected with coronavirus in the United States has risen to more than 6485,000 and there have been 193,534 deaths. The number of coronavirus patients in India is increasing rapidly and now India has reached the second position in the list of countries infected with the virus. The number of people infected with the coronavirus in India has exceeded 4.28 million while the death toll has risen to 72,816.

Brazil is the third most affected country by the coronavirus, with more than 4,147,000 cases and more than 127,000 deaths. Russia ranks fourth among countries infected with the coronavirus, with more than 1.03 million people infected with the coronavirus and a total death toll of 17,871.

In Peru, more than 691,000 people have been affected, while 29,976 people have lost their lives. In Colombia, the coronavirus has caused 21,615 deaths, and more than 691,000 reported cases. The death toll from coronavirus in South Africa has risen to 15,004, with more than 639,000 people affected. More than 637,000 people have been affected and 67,781 have died in Mexico.
