Coronavirus claims 10 more lives in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The coronavirus has claimed 10 more lives in Pakistan, bringing the total number to 6,219.

According to the latest figures released by the National Command and Operations Center, 630 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number to 291,587.

So far, 273,579 coronavirus patients have recovered in Pakistan, while the number of coronavirus active cases in the country has come down to 11,790.

The number of coronavirus cases in Sindh has reached 127,381, 95,958 in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 35,545, Islamabad 15,453, Balochistan 12,424, Azad Kashmir 2,223 and in Gilgit the number of corona cases is 2,604.

The coronavirus has caused 2,186 deaths in Punjab and 2,343 in Sindh. The death toll from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is 1,242, Islamabad 175, Balochistan 139, Gilgit-Baltistan 63 and Azad Kashmir 61.

According to the government, the graph of coronavirus cases in Pakistan is constantly declining, but the threat of the virus has not yet been averted. The first case of coronavirus in Pakistan was registered on 26th February.

Pakistan has so far conducted 2,363,752 coronavirus tests and 23,670 in the last 24 hours. 272,804 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 725 patients are in critical condition.
