A total of 2,48,78,124 people were infected with the coronavirus in the world and the number of active cases is 7,665,370. The first death from the virus was reported on 11th January in China 2020. On 9th April, the total death toll from the coronavirus rose to 100,000. The first 100,000 deaths from the virus were reported in the first 89 days.
The United States ranks first among countries infected with the coronavirus, with 29,808 deaths and more than 7,361,000 people diagnosed with the coronavirus.

India ranks second in the world in terms of coronavirus cases where the total number of coronavirus cases has increased from 61.43 million. The total number of deaths from coronavirus in India has reached 96,351.
Brazil is the third most affected country by the coronavirus, with 4.748 million people affected and 142,161 deaths.
Russia ranks fourth among countries infected with the coronavirus, with more than 1,159,000 people infected with the coronavirus and a total death toll of 20,385.
Colombia ranks fifth among countries infected with the coronavirus, with 25,641 deaths and more than 818,000 reported cases.
In Peru, more than 800,000 people have been affected, while 32,324 people have lost their lives. In Mexico, more than 737,000 people were affected and 76,603 died.
