The sanctity or fear of graves is now gone from our hearts. It is a different matter that influential people have taken over cemeteries as booty. The government is also reluctant to pay attention in this regard. Nowadays, the graveyards are the haven for narcotics addicts, which means there is no peace even after death.
It is also a marvelous creature of Almighty Allah. Most addicts are free from jealous, resentful, competition, and unaffected. A skinny addict, whenever he drinks ‘bhang’, he used to say that ‘Pi Pyala Sabar ka – koi nhi sathi qabar kar (Drink cup of patience – No one is the companion of a grave).
Then, as they drank, they became oblivious of the situation and the environment, as if shrouded corpses lying here and there. Whenever, he says those words in a loud voice, a maulana of a small mosque, in front of his hut, sometimes loudly and sometimes angrily says “You are speaking a lie”.
The statements and thoughts of both the personalities are contradictory but it was an expression of such a reality. There is no denying that every person in the world comes alone and leaves alone after playing his character.
Life is short. This is the true story of every living thing. But despite this shedding blood for wealth, sedition, false greed, mischief, deception, jealousy, malice, rivalry, and false display are parts of human nature. Perhaps that is why the angels advised the Almighty Allah not to create man.
However, the fact is that the birth of every child is a declaration that Allah Almighty has not yet disappointed from us. That is why His undeserved mercy is always lavish on us. There is no limit to His blessings. He is always accepting repentance. Not disappointing any sinner is His attribute.
On the contrary, for those who have done good deeds, made the service of Allah’s creatures their motto, and respected humanity, there is only ease. One should keep on doing small good deeds.
Every night while sleeping, if one asks oneself what good deeds have been done today, then naturally the desire for good deeds arises. Little good deeds are like fireflies in the dark. Whatever is done for the good of humanity will always be rewarded.
Empathy in oneself, awakening feelings of brotherhood, doing good deeds, love for people, sincerity and feeling are the small virtues that man needs all the time. In return for such good deeds, many problems are avoided. Many worries go away and many problems are easy. All this is due to prayers.
Imagine for a second, on the Day of Judgment, people are worried, not sympathetic, disappointed, anxious, unknowable, fear, dark night. In such a situation, rows of fireflies are shining around you in the darkness. The reward of kindness is nothing but kindness. We do not think again.
The peace of eternal life is a different matter. Sorry to say but now the fear of Allah is gone. The majority of people think for themselves. Yet the world is not empty of goodness. There is a feeling that one-day goodness will prevail.
